Life is too short to be spent in nursing animosity or registering wrongs ------------ by Charlotte Bronte

Nature's mystery or Nature's pride

Every life living on this earth passes through the almost similar phase of growth before actually opening their eyes to see the world. This experience of growth in the protected shell, be it a mother's womb or the hard eggshell is experienced by all, but the experience seems to be buried deep in our thoughts and memories unrevealed. it is just left as an experience that is to be explored.

Around 5-6 weeks they say, it begins its tiny magical movements, the most primitive of all, the aquatic sport. A small, tiny tadpole swimming all the way, which seems so magical, at least for my eyes. Indeed, thanks to the present-day technology.
Did the journey already begin! ... of a life? An experience we all have gone through in our mother’s womb yet puzzling that we have no memory. Probably these are the questions that knock the mind yet remain un-answered. Yet, it is ever beautiful for I can see a new life in me, stretching and quivering. Weeks have passed, the tadpole is now grown. I can feel the presence, I can feel its needs yet only imagine how it feels. With days passing by, I know the few millimetres have grown into few inches. I often ask, “how do you feel little one.... hmmm.... are you crouched in the space that is decreasing as you grow? I know you can hear every word that I speak, I know you can feel every move that I make. Yet, do you really hear me the way I imagine? Do you feel my presence the way I feel yours? Carrying a life within, a mother has many feelings and emotions. Do my passions tickle you when I laugh, do they hurt you when I sob? Science has done so many advances... and they say... u can even dream :).. do you really dream... if so what do you dream little one? Can you imagine the world that you are destined to live in. Do you wonder, or even know that this world is going to be your home for the lifetime?”
Thanks again to the present-day technology, I can timely see you growing up and wiggle inside me. Down inside, it is dark, with many noises and flashing of lights now and then from the outside world. “Are you, my dear, eager to see the world.... that you do not know?”

Nature's mystery or nature's pride, life takes shape in its own miraculous ways. Being a part of nature man has thought of himself to be superior but unknown to the intelligence of humanity, time and nature have always proven their superiority, marvelling the man who remains stranded wondering how things happen. His discoveries have revealed much but much more remains a puzzle that triggers him, excites him and challenges him. The mystery of his own birth is a secret, how, what and why, but it happens. The unborn life learns its ways in the mother's womb and later when it opens eyes to the world, it surprises the world by mastering the survival for its existence.

Mind and intelligence are woven into the fabric of our Universe in a way that altogether surpasses our understanding...... by Freeman Dyson

"Separation without separateness, reality without rift" ------ by Charles Williams, British Poet

To  understand the above quote one may attempt to explain in the following way. The wave is the cover on the ocean; ornament is the cover on the gold; and the pot is the cover on the clay. Similarly, false ego is the cover or screen on the Pure Consciousness. For the wave to think it is separate from the ocean is its ignorance. Also, for the ornament and pot to think they are separate from their source — that is the gold and the clay, respectively — is their mistake. In reality, the wave and the ocean are just the same water, not separate. There is no difference, although they appear to be different. The difference is created only by the name and form only. It is only when the wave identifies itself with the name and form assumes itself to be separate. In the same way, when the false "I" identifies with the body-mind, it sees the objective world of names and forms, and mistakenly takes itself to be separate from the Ultimate Truth. But in reality, there is "no-two" that is there is no rift, there is no split, its one and the same. All Consciousness is one, massive Homogenous Unity. In other words, when the Consciousness identifies with the name, form, time, space, color and attributes, it itself causes the sense of separateness which is unreal.

The above quote, "Separation without separateness, reality without rift" is food for thought that can be analyzed and interpreted as per our understanding of self and its relation with nature. it is a simple opinion or expression of a poet........ an identity of self  with nature, as part of nature or one with nature /Universe.The understanding and thought are still our own.

HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY TO ALL
Today is september 5th. In India we celebrate it as a special day for teachers. It is celebrated as the birthday of a great teacher, Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, who was a great scholar and an iminent personality. He was
the first vice-president and second president of Independent India.

In the broad sense, life is nothing but a teaching and we are all self learners and teachers. Eduction is not mere books. It is the step by step learning we encounter everyday, every moment. Learning starts right in the womb...and continues till the last breath. Our parents are our first recognizable teachers. Then we have those whom we call as teachers in school and educational centers. We walk in their footpath and later when we are capable, we pave the path for the ones who follow us. Paving the path is a great responsibility. Education in life is abundant, unrestricted and available. it is just a matter of keen interest, concentration, self discipline and acceptance. Acceptance must be rational but without immature arguments. Nothing in life is without a reason. A good teacher will understand the reasoning and teach the learner within. Our deeds, our experiences transform as our wisdom. Once it manifests as wisdom, it is permanent. In this sense we are our own teachers and we are the learners. we are the masters and also the obedient disciples. Both the guru (teacher) and shishya (student) Co-exist.One should not elate self in the ego of knowledge but humbly identify the learner in self and elate its rightful master residing in the same self.   All we need to do is to awaken the rightful master.

Sloka- (A verse)
Guruh Brahma,
Gurur Vishnu,
Gurur devo Maheswara,
Gurur Saakshat Para brahma
Tasmaii sri Guruve Namaha
Inference-
Meaning: Guru is verily the representative of Brahma (creator), Vishnu (one who maintains life) and Shiva (destroyer). He creates, sustains knowledge and destroys the weeds of ignorance. I salute such a Guru.
The Guru is life, its nature. Nature encompasses all the living and nonliving

Brahma, Vishnu, Maheswara are gods in Hinduism. They are the symbols for creation, sustenance and destruction of life. The process  is a cycle that has to be carried out without any disruption.
This too is symbolic. Life is full of wisdom that is created and available for us and needs to be sustained ... but when misused and combined with negative emotions like ego.. it becomes ignorance. Knowledge must transform into wisdom for its sustenance. If knowledge is cocooned by ego and pride it is Ignorance that needs to be destroyed  to set free the beautiful butterfly of wisdom.
One who selflessly sets free this butterfly and shares its colours with the nature is not only a great Teacher but  a Complete Human being.

Details of Dr. Radhakrishnan
Lifetime- September 5, 1888 till April 17, 1975
Vice presidency- 1952  till1962
Presidency- 1962  till 1967
Knighthood- 1931
Bharat ratna- 1954

world of possessions

A life without something we can call our own..... is unimaginable. 'Possessions' is rather a big word.
It all starts with....me, mine, my name.............. my mother, my father.....  my children, my friends, my wishes, my dreams, my things....my achievements.........my world... the list goes on.. never ending. Each possession we gain separates us from the previous one we had. Once our wish is fulfilled... it becomes an achievement, an achievement ages to become a past thing. The eye dreams another wish. Once we make new relations... we get distanced from the old, though we still live them all. It does not take much time to place our possessions in our memories. Memories too become past. As the number of possessions grows, we build a closet for them... much bigger, than each possession once was. The closet becomes a storeroom.... a world that we call our own. A locked world... or a world where we have locked ourselves! unable to part from it, assuming to save it, forgetting the count of possessions we have tried to lock ourselves into..... a world of our possessions or a world where we are possessed! A world no more lasting than the presence of breeze.

A boon or a bane

A boon or a bane,
The choice is ours;
Want to see a blooming flower
Or an empty manor,
It is just the way we want to view!
The meadow glows different under the cloud and glare,
Each grass blade shines a different hue
When wetted by the drops of due.
The sheen is the same, always green
Yet the eye views it apart
In the deep dark night
Unlike under the sun so bright.
The darkness of perception shadows the sight,
The shadowed eye views the day as the night!
The perception is castaway
To make everything a bane.
That was otherwise a boon
Is now mislaid and misled by the delusionary cocoon.
The choice to break the cocoon is but ours;
A small wisdom of of introspection,
A small positive reflection
Can shape wonders
Can metamorphosize a Bane into a Boon.

Brain wave vibration

 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gmz6CcBFkmc&feature=related

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxaGMR-DPJE&feature=related

Mind relaxation has become a mandatory need is our fast and furious world. There are many different forms of meditation... physical, mental, through use of sound, aroma....  all are known differently but ultimately their goal is mind relaxation and co-ordination

Here is one such physical technique of relaxation called Brain wave vibration. This again proves that man is made up of energy molecules that are constantly vibrating, colliding at a very high speed and acceleration. Thought is a vibration, words are a vibration, breath is a vibration, every movement made by the body and within the body creates vibration...... this physical body that we see as a human body is a cluster of Vibrating molecules which is amazing in itself

Do we have time for time........?

We all want a busy life with some relaxation, but the moment we are absolutely out of work we feel bored.  Hmmm... even during recreation we need activity in life. Human beings are sociable, friendly and dynamic. So we need activity to keep our spirits alive. Our daily activities are timed whether the time is controlled by a ticking clock or by the patterns of sun dial. We all live by time, with time and desperately want things to happen in time. Yes, honestly we all want things to happen in time and definitely hate to wait.  We work for results, well, basically it is the main pushing factor in life. Then when we have to wait for the result, that seems distressing and sometimes very painful.
A student waits desperately for the exam results and on the day of result, seconds seem to be longer than hours. After studies we wait for a good job, a good settlement and a good companion. The excitement of a pregnant woman makes months longer than ages. The post retirement life suddenly loads the individual with so much time that needs to be managed and spent before going to bed. In  daily life we encounter many situations..... may be small or big...... when we need to wait impatiently losing our cool, ultimately raging our anger, anxiousness, excitement and frustration. Ultimately all this leads to unhealthy distressed living.  In all these situations we are asked to give some time and space for the time to pass and wait for the moment that we want to arrive on its own. Only if man could control time, it would be his play mate. Then again, time is always in its own pace, it is only us who repeatedly change our pace on the play-ground of life. We run, walk but never want to stay nor give some time for the moment to pass or for the new moment to come. We hurry. We get so busy with our activities forgetting the fact, we have no time for time Or in other words we have no time to wait. Only if we could patiently give time for things to take shape on their own, time would be our best companion.

Bindi (Bindu) and its relation to the Energy Center in the body

Bindi, Tilakam, Tilak all the same names. Bindi is the traditional custom of wearing the so called "dot" on the forehead close to the area between the eyebrows (mid brow area).
Bindi has long been considered as a mark of beauty and decoration. It is worn by most of the females of  India  and some other countries of South Asia. it is a Hindu custom. Usually a red bindi is worn, but these days there are a number of colourful bindis available.
Traditionally, in India, even men used to wear the crimson red Tilakam that was mostly "Kumkum". The kumkum is obtained from a combination of dried turmeric and slaked lime. Kumkum can even be made from saffron.  Turmeric and Saffron are very well known for their antibacterial properties. The natural kumkum is, in the present day, partly replaced by artificial stickers and paints. it is also a custom in India to offer kumkum to guests and apply it to their mid brow area during auspicious occasions and when bidding farewell. It is considered as a way of showing respect and affection. However with the passing ages, tilakam or bindi wearing is now being followed  by some females only. Its a pity though to see the customs slowly decreasing in popularity.
The significance and Importance of wearing Bindi goes way beyond just beautification and good looks.
The position of the "Bindi" or "Bindu" , sanskrit word/s that in english means "Dot" is usually between the eyebrows or slightly above the area along the midline of the face. This area between the eyebrows corresponds to the Sixth Chakra (energy center) called "Ajna" Chakra of the Kundalini ( the central channel of energy of the human body). "Ajna" (Agna) means command. Any mild touch or pressure over this area helps in the stimulation of the energy center. The Bindi resting on the skin of the area applies the constant touch that provides some stimulation of the energy center. The pressure applied during the application of the Bindi (done daily) is also stimulating. This stimulus is very good for activating and balancing our body energy field. The similar is true for application of kumkum to the scalp in the mid-partition of the hair. This area stays close to the Sahasrara chakra. The position of Ajna Chakra is coincident with the position of the pineal gland. The position of the Sahasrar Chakra corresponds to that of the pituitary gland. Thus application of tilakam or bindi is not for mere charm or decoration but has a great implication.

everything is energy

Human body can be compared to a magnet surrounded by an energy field with two poles. The body matter is made up of tissue with the basic unit of every tissue being an atom. An atom as we all know is made of the orbiting electrons with central protons and neutrons. Thus it carries energy and human body is made up of millions of such energy units and therefore as a whole it is an energy field with the atoms and molecules vibrating with their particular energy fields giving the body a form and shape visible to the human eye. Every thing that appears in nature irrespective of its state of existence is nothing but a compilation of atoms-- the basic energy units--- to produce a shape and image that we see and perceive.
our thoughts, words, actions are all examples of the dynamism of energy.
Everything around, within and without us is Energy.

Every thought has a frequency

Thoughts are nothing but electric impulses traveling through the extensive nerve network the human body possesses. They are nothing but one of a kind of sinusoidal waves similar to every other wave in nature. They have a frequency, a wavelength..... they possess the field of energy. So they can carry a smooth wave or a disturbed wave with a disturbed frequency. Whatever the wave is..... it is a thought generated by us.......... these thoughts carrying energy waves can affect us and our surroundings too.

Known Ignorance

There is an age old saying "Ignorance is bliss". Yes, many a times Ignorance is a bliss. It keeps the mind away from the fear of unknown, thereby not creating tension in life. True Ignorance is no different from innocence.
Unfortunately we live in a world where innocence is enacted, things are done with known motives and known knowledge of their consequences. Then, ignorance is acted upon just to escape. Life has become so pseudo, pseudo satisfaction, pseudo happiness, pseudo tears. Man has become so adapted to this pseudo act that he is now living in its shadow accepting the shadow as reality. A true act, a true concern or a true affection is considered pseudo and false whereas a portrayal of actions is considered sophistication, reality, intellect and smartness and is appreciated. Every one looks at each other as an opportunist, and believes opportunism is one of the smart ways of living. it is accepted that a helpful hand if opportunistic is more reliable than the real help that is done without any reason. No one is ready to accept a true helping hand with the fear of what he might lose after the favor is done. So insecure the world has become!. It is a pity that the world knows what is right and who is right yet fears to recognize the truth. Recognition is attributed to the one whose intentions are clearly known to be untrue. Why.... just for the fear of being hurt!..... Just to safe guard the pseudo life! why are we unable to accept a true thought or a true word, when we know its true. Are we fooling the world or ourselves......  An ignorance that has made two worlds. A real world and a world created by our own thoughts, discrimination much different from reality.... yet is perceived as the truth of the hour. Why are we all living with such known ignorance!!

Spectator

A spectator I stand
to witness everything
all that happening outside,
all that is within.
All around I gaze
I see many faces,
resembling the siblings alike,
all masked in the crowd of emotions.
Each, changing face with the play of time.
All, but my faces!!!
Yet unable to recognize self!
Time once again proved its might,
as I stand, a spectator
in search of self,
witnessing event after event.
Smiles turning into fears, fears into tears
and tears ultimately into acceptance of reality.
The masked emotions changing faster than the pace of seconds.
Yes, I stand as a witness
to my own life
learning to accept the way of life.
Learning that Acceptance is no defeat
but a victory over emotions.
A path trodden less,
opens the door to satisfaction and happiness.

The most misunderstood colour

Among all the colours existing in nature the most misunderstood , negated and unaccepted is the colour black. if colours too had emotions.... then probably they could speak for themselves :)

I make the dark of the night
I make the life of your eye
I make the beauty spot on your face
I make your hair glow in grace

Unwanted I am to many
Unlucky I am to many
Yes, I am not colourful
Yes, I am the black

may be not as bright as the colour white
but white is brightest only when next to me

I am not the yellow that has a radiant glow
yet when mixed with me  its glow is lost

The red is strong and mighty
it is the colour of the fire ball
yet the ball rises and sets
the night was there before it rouse
and still there after it sets

I am not the blue that is pleasant and cool
yet it freezes in my cold

I am not the green, the queen of prosperity
yet when with me, its lusture is shadowed

All the colours to one side,
I stand alone
I have no shades,
I have no hue
I  absorb all and I still stand as one
I am the universe
Yes, I am not colourful
Yes, I am the black

Holi

Holi hai !  bhai holi hai !!
Once again Holi is back with its vibrant colours. Holi is the festival that signifies unification of all colours,
be it the colours of nature, the universe,
be it the colours of the human race or the human face
be it the colours of traditions and culture
be it the colours of older and modern beliefs
be it the colours of our society, community or family.
The bright as well as the subtle colours balance each other and harmonise to glorify the world. These colours make up the collage of life representing the various phases like happiness, sorrow and any moments we live. The collage exists within and around us. Without colours life is meaningless. Colours are  the beautiful basis for sustenance of life.

Colours... so many with shades so varied!
To chose just one is a difficult task indeed!
To colour your day,
especially today
choose not just one,
but all colours that glitter under the sun
Though some are dark and some sober
they still balance altogether

Silence

Silence can be noisy... so noisy that only words can break it.... silence it. sometimes it is so frustrating sitting alone and the only one speaking to us is our mind! Such a paradox life is .... people yearn for silence and peace yet cannot live in peace without noise or someone to speak with. Too many conversations are also disturbing. Man is swinging like a pendulum between silence and speech. what actually comforts him...Does he know?
Scientifically, a person with a working brain is living completely and a person without a thinking capacity is half dead, or half alive or just a vegetable to survive. Speech is a compilation of thoughts expressed in an understandable sound called language. So it is nothing but thoughts. Well, in that case, mind of a living is never devoid of thoughts. So then, is the mind and the continuously working brain at silence any time? Now then, where is the silence. OR what is silence...absence of words or thoughts?
Silence..... is it internal that is no thoughts or is it external when not spoken? Does it exist or not? Can we hold the mind from thoughts filled with desire, fear, terror ....... May be YES, but how? Man can be idle without work, but the mind cannot be idle. Even when asleep we dream, so when does the mind remain silent. Is it possible to remain silent.... undisturbed? Yes, it is possible, but again.... How?
The ripples of the ocean have a wave pattern just similar to the huge waves... but they are less noisy.... why? They cause no destruction compared to the hurricane tides. Both the ripples and huge tides are created by the same water, the ocean as deep and mysterious as our mind. Like the mind its depths are yet to be revealed.
The ripples have a controlled pattern of the their flow that is soft and yielding. The huge waves and tides are strong, aggressive, unyielding and devastating. Thoughts too, are patterns that origin from the depth of our mind and when propelled by emotions tend to be aggressive. The aggression is so strong that it disturbs the mind… noises the mind. Then forms the expression of aggression in form of words causing a disturbance both internally and externally to the thinker, speaker and the listener. Thoughts that arise out of emotions …desires, pleasures, anger, ego, fear as well as happiness… have no controlled pattern, and are only devastating and disturbing.
When thought patterns are controlled, they become subtle, sounding as pleasant as the ripples that exist to vanish without any effect. Ever heard a ripple? Mind cannot stop the thought process, emotions do exist… yet they can be tamed, directed in a controlled manner to attain uniformity and order. Such a uniformity and order creates a balance of thought and word, silencing the mind if ever it tends to get disturbed… as thoughts do arise!, this fact is inevitable.
Nature has both beauty and destruction living in harmony. It’s a marvelous example where we can learn how it balances its own self. A controlled mind is silent and peaceful even in a noisy crowd. The noise gets heard but remains unheard. A silent mind is at peace with itself and surroundings… a disturbed mind is at nuisance with itself and surroundings.
In-spite of its realms unrevealed, mind is an open book. Anything can be written, and anything can be erased. Well then, who can write or erase?… it is us who maintain the records in our mind using the software of our memory and the will to forget. Yes forgetfulness is a boon to mankind, that helps to live in harmony and peace. However if we intend not to forget our troubles then the same mind becomes a curse to our peaceful living.
The instability of mind is always blamed on situations. We feel that bad situations shake us otherwise we are very balanced. Is there a need to be balanced and peaceful in a favorable situation? The tree never complains about the strong wind that blows its leaves away. Even after the storm has resolved the tree stands erect, undisturbed, though it has lost something. Mastering the art of balance is not very difficult. We just need to understand a simple fact … disturbed is the mind not the situation, resolved is the mind not the situation as it is only the mind that reacts and not the situation.

Magical potion of life

Love is a pure emotion, that bonds people. Be it the love of parents, children, siblings, friends, fiance, husband or of some secret admirer OR Love for our passions or just love for life and the pure nature around us.... it is pure and a power that keeps us all alive and going. It is a magical potion.

Whenever I miss you
I'll search for you in the beautiful rays of the sun
whenever I want to see you
I'll look for you among the twinkling stars
whenever I want to reach you
I'll reach the tallest tree to feel the cool leaves
whenever I want to gaze at you
I'll watch the ever continuous waves of the ocean
whenever I want to....
..search for you
..see you
..reach you
..gaze at you
all at once
I'll just close my eyes and peep into my heart
because you are always there forever

Live in coincidence
believe and follow your heart
but be bold to embrace your destiny...
... this is life
autographed with a smile

A Thought

No Phrase so mighty is powerful until and unless it is implemented by mind.
Body may perform mechanically, but mind cannot deceive itself.
Experience teaches what scriptures try for years.
Blessed are those who are chosen by the eternal scriptures.
Paths may vary but destiny is one.

The cold desert

Far far away where the eye can reach,
an ocean of snow, nothing else but snow.
Cold it is, so cold that no tree bears a fresh leaf.
All of them have dried off and fallen away.
The breeze colder than Ice, freezes the blood.
To flap a wing, a bird does not dare,
to venture into the cold desert the feathers cannot bear.
There is no food around, only solid water everywhere.
Water that cannot quench a thirst
Alike the ego, that never quenches itself.
it conquers the mind and freezes the thought.
A pride so cold, bars the friend and family,
deserting all relations that slowly part away.
Ultimately... alone remains the ego,
no one ever tries to befriend it .
All that remains is self and nothing else,
cold and alone just like a cold desert.

Virtue of Time

Water is so clear, so pure, shows the shadows and images of anything that leans on it.
Does it have no image or shape of its own?..... does it have no virtue that it only reflects the images of other?
it neither can be contained nor curtailed. it just flows. what is its virtue then?..... its real virtue lies in casting the images of other things that co-exist, be it living or non living. its ever continuous flow tells us about the continuity of existence, life, that cannot be stopped. water flowing from the hill keeps on passing down, with the same spot being bathed by the water that follows..........well the water that follows bears the same virtue as the previous flow of water, yet its not the same.
when you try to touch it....... it just leaves a lingering wetness... a dampness that slowly dries off. when water evaporates, it is lost from our sight, though it exists as vapor......Time is also lost when we miss it, never to come back. Can we draw a simile here?
Water can be a representation of the ever flowing time. Each second, minute, hour of the clock is repeated yet the count is not the same. The sun rises daily to set again, but its not the same day. The time keeps ticking, just like the water flowing in the stream. We witness its flow, but cannot change it, nor beat it.
we need to swim in and with water to survive its waves or else we drown. Similarly we need to live in and with time, to survive. Time, timely shows us our shadowed images, we need to realize from these images about self. Some times the image is pleasant shadow showing our pleasant nature. Sometimes it is unpleasant, showing our unbalanced emotions. Time gives us a chance to understand self and resolve our confusions. Yet again, it is ever flowing, running as some may call it. We, people have classified the time frame into past, present and future. We are surrounded by the time and its measurements. When time passes... it leaves a lingering memory that fades off with passing time. Just like the lingering wetness that the water leaves, to dry off. We cannot live without water, We exist only within the horizons of time.

Time... Isn't it amazing!!!. An entity that has no physical picture....... has such a virtue. A virtue with so much of teaching and guidance. A virtue not separate from life.

Sister-hood

Sisterhood........ just another one among those blissful facets of life. All of us, females are sisters to another sister or brother. Here, I am talking about the sister-sisterhood that I cherish because I live it.
So here 's my story. life blessed me, but, to be tossed up with two sisters and being born as the second sibling ....... I've always been the sandwich. Oh yes, obviously the crushed part!!! You know when you have a sister around, you get two inseparable gifts.... one, you get to have the best of all friends, second aaaahh! an imp in disguise. Well, you have to live with them... and I had two of them here! If I am complaining, then they too should be or else the essence of being sisters would be lost. I bet they will complain even more and I am privileged.
Sisterhood taught me more than just complaining, it taught me secrets to a happier life. Above all, I learned about being cared and how to care. The earlier days saw play and more play, with adjustments. Yes, adjustment started right there when we had to share our toys. Hey,,, I remember we had a small play scooter and we would always fight for the front seat. Probably, that's what makes me happier to share things today. I learned my first few amateurish lessons of wrestling with my sister. Well, as we grew older we stopped it, when we realized it was not the job for good girls ;0 Competition was also a part of us, but it only appraised our spirits. Sisters are the best critics who never hurt you, but show you the mirror. They are the safest secret places to treasure your feelings. They...... are the best friends.

Life is always fun filled with sisters around, it brings out the child in us, out pours our deep hidden secrets. well, not much to say... but the gist of it is, I love being a sister.

To all the sisters out there.. Three cheers to sisterhood! :)

Destiny is a matter of choice

Destiny is not a matter of chance; it is a matter of choice. It is not a thing to be waited for; it is a thing to be achieved’ -W J Bryan.

Very much true, destiny is a matter of the choices we make in life. Choices that life shows us. We pick from the choices to make our future(our life, our destiny)… or at least we feel our future is in the right direction. Whatever choice we make, paves our way to destiny. Destiny is nothing but our life and the way we live it. Reaching our desired destiny makes us happy as we live the life we want. The choices in life are again given and shown by life only ….. from where we opt to make our destiny… our life again. When a choice gives us what we want.. it is an achievement. Achievements are always precious. They bring glory, name and fame and most importantly the achievement should accomplish a satisfaction, a happiness. When a choice does not give what we want… it is called a wrong choice, we never made the right choice. There is a beautiful saying……”The grass always appears greener on the other side”… it only appears. we do not know how lush and green the grass is until we ourselves walk over it. Yet we can water our own garden to make it more green. So if happiness is what we want as our destiny ,it is a matter of our choice. This choice is always available at every stage of life.

Education and the educated

An educated man is a civilized man, this is an age long belief….. what is then, education? and who is the educated? A broad understanding of education is----- gaining knowledge and wisdom. We have so many in the present world who are educated. Doctors , Engineers, Scientists, IT professionals, Businessmen, lawyers and many more , all overflowing with knowledge and know-how, of course, in their respective fields. None less than the other. We get jobs and positions as per the level of our education. Some jobs are as high as the President, a manager, a doctor, a team leader, while some other jobs are regarded very ordinary as that of the porter, peon, the laborer. So, it all depends on how well we have completed our studies and how highly we are educated. So what’s the big Deal….
There is a hidden education that grows and matures in us as we grow and age. It’s a teaching that starts at birth and continues all through childhood, youth into adulthood. It is the basic education about being a human being, a part of the whole empire called the world. Yes, we are all parts of the world not the kings. It’s the basic knowledge and wisdom about humanity, humility and how to live in harmony. It is true that in the fast and furious present world, each one of us struggles for a basic living. In such a tight situation no one can afford to even think for a stranger. More over we cannot make out if the person is genuine ,to offer any help. Well, no one asks for nor expects any favor but least expects not to be hurt and this would be the greatest favor. No one expects at least to be misunderstood if not understood. No one expects at least to be treated as a beggar. Every work has a dignity and dignity need not be certified. Every individual is an “individual” because he has an identity. Every person needs to be respected not judged. This is the basic education that we are all well versed with, but seem to have forgotten with time. No one needs to create a revolution, yet, if each one of us can reconcile self then the chain of humanity builds on.
