Collaged in memory
A beautiful painting of the memoirs
All the moments of revisit
Captured in those eyes
Turned into glistening reflections
so tender and so pure
Thought, the entity man cannot live without. Be it a memory, an imagination, they are a part of us. The thought belongs to the one who thinks... no one can make someone emerge a thought...Our thoughts are our own possessions, our own teachings and wisdom. A treasure safe in our minds. As long as man lives.... the thought lives. Have we ever asked who is the thinker!
Collaged in memory
A beautiful painting of the memoirs
All the moments of revisit
Captured in those eyes
Turned into glistening reflections
so tender and so pure
The potential stability longs to establish its presence
By scattering itself into Dynamism
The dynamic energy craves to maintain its essence
By composing itself into the Potentialism
The duel of the reflections begins with the aim of achieving dominance.
Yet the two get engaged forever till they restore the life balance.
I wished to change the past
Alas! It did not last
I wished to shape the future
Alas! I did not have it either
All I had was the moment
of the Present...
So, I wished to acknowledge my presence
but the moments were constantly changing their grammar tense
oh!!! the momentary confusion was really intense
That made me question my persistence
about my existence
so, I laughed at self
and told myself
Not to feel breathless
Because only the breath is endlessπ
Is there and difference between You and Me
Is the difference what the eye can see
Am I really what you can perceive
Or is there an invisible me behind me
What you can see is vanquish-able
To vanquish the invisible is impossible
As the material body is born to change
But the eternal breath is not born to change
It exists from times unknown
To exist for ever with its forms un-shown
The child in the street corner
Is no different from yours
The man shivering in the hut
Is no different from you
Their tummies may touch their spine
Their faces may be sunken
Your belly may be filled with wine
You may be a lord of a dozen
They can no doubt be called economically poor
You are no doubt financially rich
Your mansion may be full of treasure
Your living could be nothing but a pleasure
But,
All these riches are what you have
And not what you are
And make you no different from what they are
As their dry lips can also smile
Just the way you do
Their blood is still the colour red
The same colour when you bleed
unless your blood is blue.
A child being reared in his mother's lap
While another lying half dressed on the floor
A child cuddles into cushions
And the other sleeping on hard core
Hear the cries of a child under the roof
While another silently weeps
Maybe just outside your door
Just look around
They both are true
They both are innocent
Their tears are for the same reason
Yet the world sees a difference that grows more and more
A eleven year old plays with a colourful stick
His only beautiful magic wand
Another carries a crown of brick
On his small head
The boy down the street can buy a pencil and a book
While the boy in the book shop who keeps the book
Can only gaze and look
A girl in the pink robe
Owns a pretty Barbie
While another, maybe younger
Sells the same for a penny
Their eyes also want to dream
Their heart is a clear as the stream
Their lips also smile the same way
Yet the world sees a difference
That grows more and more
The Rainbow Festival Or The festival of Colours
Yes, The famous Indian festival Holi... is the festival of Colours... I'd like to call it the 'Rainbow festival'
Just like the many festivals celebrated in India, Holi too has cultural, mythological as well as a spiritual Significance. White is considered as the symbol of purity. THE WHITE LIGHT BREAKS UP INTO A SPECTRUM OF WAVELENGTHS OR RATHER PUT IT THIS WAY... IT IS A COMBINATION OF MANY VARIED COLOURS EACH WITH ITS OWN WAVELENGTH AND FREQUENCY..... JUST LIKE THE HUMAN BEINGS, THEIR EMOTIONS, THEIR LIFE SITUATIONS AND RELATIONS.
Holi is yet another indian festival of harvest and colours. The harvesting in different regions of india occurs at different time phases of year..due to the regionally differing indian climate. Holi marks the end of winter almost completely in North India. Indians joyfully celebrate with colours such that the day appears to be painted with a rainbow of colours.
Why play with colours? .... The play with colours is a mere significance that has been long lost... the colours signify the different phases and emotions of life and man. Playing and enjoying the colours on Holi signifies that one must accept, balance and enjoy all the colours of life equally... It has a more spiritual significance which is- balance of life is more important than enjoying the more merrier phases or colours of life. Life is a bundle, a package and a colourful rainbow. Each colour gives significance to the other and each shade does the same, without either, neither of the various colours have any existence or meaning. It symbolises that the one who joyfully accepts and embraces the various moments of life without resisting, is the one who truly lives or exists. it is the victory of happiness and bliss over the evils of sorrow and sadness.
In the olden times more natural colours were used but with advancing age of chemicals and techology man has tended more for artificial means of making not just colours but many more things.
Colours, so many with shades so varied,
To chose just one is a difficult task indeed!
To Colour any of your day,
Be it ordinary or a special day.
I would say,
Chose not just one
But all the shades that glitter under the sun.
Though some may be dark and others sober,
Though each one is different from the other...
yet the balance all together.
Just like a Beautiful RAINBOW

Today I want to share my poem written about 22 years ago... somehow never put it up in the blog earlier.
I looked into the mirror and smiled at it,
I could see a world with many bright things in it.
The people were so simple and very neat'
All spoke politely and were so sweet.
The evergreen trees were so high,
To reach the clear, bright sky.
Indeed the azure was calm
And the vast oceans beneath were warm.
The leaves shone under the sunlight
And the blossoms added to their delight.
It was a world so pretty and bright,
Free from all malice and fight.
A bliss none could deny.
I again looked into the mirror and frowned at it.
I could now see a whole new world in it.
The people looked so different.
Their attitude was so distant.
Their sweetness had faded.
An emptiness had evaded.
Each one looked down upon the other
With ego and dis-honor
Each one complained of the world's ill-manner.
Yet forgot they made the world and its flavor.
Ah! What a pity,
The world was neither bright nor pretty.
It was a world full of lust, pride and jealousy.
A tear rolled down my from my eye.
Now a vague image started to appear
In the same mirror
It was me, only me
I could now clearly see
There was no world,
There were no people
It was only my smile,
It was only my frown,
That brightened my world and also brought it down.
I laughed at myself
As it was only me in the mirror all the while.
hey all,
It has been a while, that I felt like writing something.. probably lost myself, lost my thoughts... life definitely brings us back to them.
As a child I grew up hearing... whenever you are sad or upset about something, always draw your troubles as a line and look for someone with a longer line.. or rather more troubles. Life gives us many opportunities to grow, live, care and share.... we all lose... losses are again of different kinds....
Yet, we look at the world from only a single perspective of our eyes... just take time to single out and sit in the midst of your family, friends, office, acquaintances or even strangers, your country ... just watch them, try to know them and observe... then just close your eyes and weigh all their troubles against yours.... the world suddenly seems huge but again your world seems to be a tiny speck... draw lines, the length of each line would be based on different issues.... we suddenly realize that the world is and people are reeling from far bigger ,also unknown and unheard troubles.... You might realize that against their lines ,, yours might be smaller, or may be it is just a dot or you haven't even started drawing.
Yes all of us are in problems, probably because we are looking at them.... but just draw your line of troubles against someone else's line of troubles... I bet each of us would end up with smaller lines....
.... The line .....that was longer than mine....
